Oscar M. Sveom (95), of Milton passed away early on the morning of November 7th, 2017 in his home in Milton. He was born in Orfordville, Wisconsin on August 3rd, 1922 to Ole & Minnie Sveom. Oscar is a veteran of the Second World War. He worked at General Motors, Fairbanks Morse and retired from the US Postal Service in 1983. Oscar married Judy Hawley on June 7th, 2001. She preceded him in death on February 29th, 2016.
Oscar enjoyed spending time with his family and was an avid reader and bowler. He loved sports and was a huge Cubs fan.
Oscar is survived by step children Kevin (Tina) Brandt of Rockford, IL; Jennifer (Jeff) Ezdon of Milton, WI; and Douglas (Kathy) Brandt of Janesville; grandchildren, Courtney, Justin, Emily, Ashley, Morgan, Paige & Briana; great-grandson Mason; brother-in-law Jim (Cindy) Osenga; sister-in-law Mary Sveom; cousins, nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, brother Alvin, and an infant sister.
Visitation will be from 10:00AM to 11:00AM on, Thursday, November 9th, 2017 at Henke-Clarson Funeral Home, 1010 North Wright Rd. Janesville, WI 53546 with funeral services following at 11:00AM. Burial will be at Milton Lawns Memorial Park in Janesville with military rites by Kienow-Hilt V.F.W. Post # 1621
